EXTREME BPR
Superior Products
The Superior Products Extreme BPR is an extreme-service back pressure regulator developed from field research to tackle washout and keep the valve in service longer. It targets difficult well conditions where abrasive, solids-laden flow cuts the trim and forces frequent repairs on a standard BPR.
A proprietary steel treatment hardens the cage and seat plug beyond 2100HV case hardness, and silicon nitride ball and seat or sand trim plunger options resist erosion. These upgrades layer onto the proven BPR platform to extend run time between repairs.
The Extreme service package is offered across the 2″ HU, 2″ Inline, 3″ HU, and 3″ Tee models, so it fits existing installations. An HNBR loaded seal is standard, and NACE-compliant materials suit sour service. Made in the USA.
Typical Applications:
Abrasive and sand-laden production, difficult and high-washout well conditions, high-solids flowback service, extended-run backpressure control, and wells with a history of frequent BPR repair.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the Superior Products Extreme BPR
Performs Where It Counts
BUILT TO BEAT WASHOUT
The proprietary steel treatment hardens the cage and seat plug beyond 2100HV, directly attacking the washout that destroys standard trim in abrasive flow. The valve stays in service far longer where washout is the failure mode.
DEVELOPED FROM FIELD EXPERIENCE
Superior’s extreme service design came from research with customers running difficult wells, targeting the exact conditions that force frequent repairs. It is purpose-built for the hardest-service applications in the field.
SPECIALTY TRIM FOR EROSIVE FLOW
Silicon nitride ball and seat and sand trim plunger options resist the erosion of solids-laden production beyond what standard trim can handle. That extends run time in high-solids flowback and frac service.
UPGRADE FITS EXISTING VALVES
Because the Extreme package layers onto the 2″ HU, 2″ Inline, 3″ HU, and 3″ Tee bodies, it drops into existing installations without redesigning the piping. Operators upgrade problem locations without replacing the whole valve.
