The Stark S-2000 Clamp Ring Quick Opening Closure is a clamp-style closure for fast, safe access to pipeline barrels and pressure vessels across a broad size range. A clamp ring secures the door against the hub, and opening takes two rapid motions: unlatch the clamp, then pull the door open.
Because the door swings on a horizontal axis, the operator stays safely to the side and never stands in front of it. An integrated Pressure Alert Valve secures the clamps closed and must be removed before release, while a large cross-section O-ring outside the working area seals positively and stays protected from tools and debris.
Available from 2″ through 64″ (DN50 to DN1600), the closure is certified to ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and CSA Z662 Cat. II with a 0.5/0.6 design factor, and can carry a U-Stamp. NACE MR0175-compliant materials and a -50°F to 400°F rating suit sour and wide-temperature service, with opening assists standard on 34″ to 64″ sizes.

OPERATOR STAYS OUT OF THE LINE OF FIRE
The door swings on a horizontal axis so the operator is never required to stand in front of it, and the two-motion opening keeps them to the side throughout. Safety is built into the geometry of the closure rather than left to procedure.
PAV SECURES THE CLAMP
The Pressure Alert Valve physically secures the clamps in the closed position, so it must be removed before the clamp can be released, forcing a deliberate depressurization check. Designing the PAV without an O-ring also simplifies the spare-parts list.
PROTECTED, POSITIVE SEAL
A large cross-section O-ring located outside the working area delivers a positive seal while shielding it from tools and debris that damage seals in the bore. The result is reliable sealing with less risk of seal wear over repeated cycles.
EASIER OPERATION AT LARGE DIAMETERS
Clamp screw opening assist and door load binder assist, standard on 34″ to 64″ closures, make compressing high-durometer O-rings and swinging large doors manageable for one operator. Right- or left-hand hinging fits the closure to the installation.
