SCV Valve
The SCV Piston Check Valve is a non-slam, flapperless check valve built to API 6D for pipeline backflow control. An internal piston rises off the seat as upstream pressure exceeds downstream, then lowers smoothly as flow drops, preventing the slam and seat damage of a conventional check.
The quiet, non-slam action suits pulsating flow lines from compressors and pumps, where a swing check would chatter and wear. Piston rings keep the piston aligned so its beveled face seats against the body’s metal seat, with a spring standard on 2″ through 6″ valves.
Available in sizes 2″ through 24″ and ASME Class 150 through 2500, the valve comes in cast carbon or stainless steel with threaded, replaceable seats. Flanged ends conform to ANSI B16.5 and butt-weld ends to ANSI/ASME B16.25, with continuous service to 400°F and NACE MR-01-75 construction available.
