API 6A THRU CONDUIT SLAB & EXPANDING GATE VALVE
SCV Valve
The SCV API 6A Thru Conduit Slab & Expanding Gate Valve brings the full-bore thru conduit design to wellhead and surface production service under API 6A. When open, the gate presents a smooth bore equal to the line, passing tools and pigs with minimal pressure loss.
The slab gate uses a bored slab with floating, spring-energized seats for a pressure-energized seal, while the expanding gate mechanically wedges against both seats for a positive two-way seal independent of line pressure. Both carry dual seat sealant injection ports and stem packing injection.
Available in API sizes 2-1/16″ through 13-5/8″ at 2000, 3000, and 5000 PSI, the valve uses a carbon steel body, stainless stem, and soft or metal stellite seats. An OS&Y rising stem, NACE MR-01-75 construction, and ISO mounting plates for actuation complete the package.
Typical Applications:
Wellhead and christmas tree isolation, surface production and frac trees, production and injection manifolds, high-pressure sour (NACE) service, and piggable full-bore wellsite lines.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the API 6A Thru Conduit Slab & Expanding Gate Valve
Performs Where It Counts
QUALIFIED FOR WELLHEAD SERVICE
API 6A design and testing qualify the valve for the pressures and integrity demands of wellheads, trees, and surface production equipment, where the pipeline-oriented 6D spec does not apply. That makes it the right isolation valve at the wellsite.
FULL-BORE, PIGGABLE FLOW PATH
The through-conduit design presents an unobstructed bore equal to the line when open, so the valve passes tools and pigs with minimal pressure loss. That keeps flow clean on production and injection service.
TWO SEALING DESIGNS FOR THE SERVICE
The slab gate delivers a pressure-energized seal that tightens as line pressure rises, while the expanding gate delivers a positive mechanical two-way seal independent of pressure. Selecting the right design matches the sealing method to the wellsite application.
BUILT FOR HIGH-PRESSURE SOUR SERVICE
Metal stellite seats and NACE-compliant construction handle the high pressures and sour, abrasive media common at the wellhead. In-service sealant and packing injection keep the valve tight through demanding production cycles.
