PRESSURE SEAL VALVES – GATE,
GLOBE & CHECK
GWC USA
The GWC USA Pressure Seal Gate, Globe & Check Valves are high-pressure, high-temperature valves built around a self-energizing pressure seal bonnet. Instead of a bolted flange, a seal ring tightens as internal pressure rises, so higher pressure produces a tighter seal with weight savings and easier maintenance.
The line covers gate valves for isolation, globe valves for throttling, and swing, tilting disc, piston, and stop check valves for backflow prevention. Bodies and bonnets are designed for minimum turbulence, with a stellited stem guide and back seat and extra NDE on critical sealing areas.
Available in ASME Class 600 through 2500, the valves are built to API 600 and ASME B16.34 in carbon, alloy, and stainless steel with stellite-overlaid seating. RF flanged, ring joint, and butt-weld ends suit demanding power and process service.
Typical Applications:
High-pressure, high-temperature service, thermal and steam power plants, nuclear steam generating stations, industrial and chemical plants, main steam and feedwater lines, and critical isolation and check service.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the GWC Pressure Seal Gate, Globe & Check Valves
Perform Where It Counts
SEALS TIGHTER AS PRESSURE RISES
The pressure seal bonnet uses line pressure to energize the seal ring, so the joint gets tighter as internal pressure increases rather than relying on bolt load alone. That makes it the reliable choice for high-pressure steam and process service.
LIGHTER AND MORE COMPACT THAN
A BOLTED BONNET
Replacing the bolted flange with a pressure seal joint cuts weight and outside dimension at high pressure classes. That eases support, handling, and installation on heavy Class 600 through 2500 lines.
BUILT FOR CRITICAL POWER SERVICE
Extra dimensional and nondestructive examination of the gasket sealing area, butt-weld ends, and stellite surfaces meets the quality demands of nuclear and thermal power plants. The design and materials provide dependable service on main steam and feedwater lines.
FULL RANGE OF ISOLATION AND CHECK PATTERNS
Gate, globe, swing, tilting disc, piston, and stop check patterns cover isolation, throttling, and non-return needs in one bonnet platform. That standardizes high-pressure valve selection across a station or plant.
