CAST STEEL VALVES -GATE,
GLOBE & CHECK
GWC USA
The GWC USA Forged Steel Gate, Globe & Check Valves are compact, high-integrity valves built to API 602 and ASME B16.34. Forged bodies give better material integrity than castings on small-bore lines, reducing internal defects and NDE requirements.
Gate and globe valves use an outside screw and yoke with a rising stem, available in bolted, welded, or pressure seal bonnet construction to match the service. Full and reduced port options set the flow capacity, with integral backseats for an ultimate seal during packing service.
Available in ASME Class 150 through 2500, the valves come in A105N, LF2, F11, F22, F5, F9, and F316 for carbon, alloy, and stainless service. Trim covers 13CR, 316 stainless, and stellite, with threaded, socket weld, butt weld, RF, and RTJ ends and NACE MR-01-75 construction available.
Typical Applications:
Stop and isolation service, throttling and control service, backflow prevention, steam and high-temperature lines, slurries and viscous fluids, and refinery and pipeline installations.

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the Cast Steel Gate, Globe & Check Valves
Perform Where It Counts
FLEXIBLE WEDGE FOR THERMAL SERVICE
The gate valve’s flexible wedge lets the seating faces move independently and adjust to body distortion from line loads and thermal expansion. That prevents the sticking that seizes solid-wedge valves in steam and high-temperature service.
LOW-TURBULENCE THROTTLING CONTROL
The globe valve’s full-ported spherical body with large radii keeps pressure drop, flow resistance, and turbulence to a minimum during throttling. That delivers controllable, repeatable regulation where a gate valve cannot throttle.
POSITIVE NON-RETURN PROTECTION
The swing check’s closure design closes quickly and stays closed with no flow in runs, giving positive backflow protection at low pressure drop. That protects pumps and compressors without adding resistance to forward flow.
MATERIALS AND TRIM FOR SEVERE SERVICE
A broad body range from carbon through alloy and stainless, paired with stellite-overlaid trim, matches the valve to erosive, corrosive, and high-temperature conditions. NACE-compliant construction extends the family into sour service.
