BTC & BTCO2 | Through-Conduit Gate Valve
Forum Energy Technologies (FET)
The FET BTC and BTCO2 Gate Valves are through-conduit, unrestricted flow valves engineered for waterflood, gas injection, and production flow line applications in corrosive and erosive environments. Designed specifically for enhanced oil recovery and high-pressure service, these valves deliver reliable shutoff and long-term durability under demanding operating conditions.
A full-floating transmitting “T” nut between the stem and gate provides two degrees of freedom, ensuring positive sealing even at low differential pressures as low as 50 PSI. The through-conduit bore eliminates flow restriction, reducing pressure drop and minimizing turbulence through the valve.
With a top-entry, fully field-serviceable design and multiple material and trim options, BTC and BTCO2 valves are built for flexibility, maintainability, and consistent performance across a wide range of production environments.
Typical Applications:
Waterflood injection, CO2 injection, wellheads, production flow lines, sour gas service, crude oil systems, and secondary recovery operations

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the BTC & BTCO2 Perform Where It Counts
UNRESTRICTED FLOW WITH MINIMAL
PRESSURE LOSS
The through-conduit bore design eliminates internal restrictions, allowing fluid to pass straight through the valve with minimal turbulence. This reduces pressure drop, improves flow efficiency, and prevents buildup or restriction in production systems.
POSITIVE SEALING EVEN AT LOW
DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE
The floating “T” nut mechanism allows the gate to align and seat properly regardless of pressure conditions. This ensures reliable shutoff performance even at low pressures where traditional gate valves may struggle to seal effectively.
DESIGNED FOR CORROSIVE &
EROSIVE SERVICE
Material options including stainless steel, aluminum bronze, and specialized elastomers allow the valve to be configured for aggressive media such as CO2, brine, and sour gas. This extends service life and reduces failure in harsh environments.
FIELD SERVICEABILITY AND REDUCED DOWNTIME
Top-entry construction allows internal components to be inspected and replaced without removing the valve from the line. This significantly reduces maintenance time and operational disruption in critical production systems.
