The BelGAS P289 is a throttling-type back pressure regulator designed to function as a high-flow relief valve with an adjustable setpoint. It maintains upstream pressure by relieving excess pressure downstream, providing smooth and controlled system protection in gas applications.
Engineered with a large diaphragm area and pitot tube booster, the P289 responds quickly to pressure changes and relieves excess pressure smoothly, even in low-pressure systems. This design reduces pressure spikes and improves overall system stability compared to standard relief valves.
The P289 can be used in place of traditional relief valves to provide both protection and controlled pressure regulation. Its simple, reliable design delivers tight shutoff and high flow performance, making it well suited for demanding gas systems where consistent pressure control is critical.
