BFD Series | Double Offset Butterfly Valve
C&C Industries
The C&C BFD Series Double Offset Butterfly Valve is engineered for high-performance flow control in demanding industrial applications where reliability, tight shutoff, and long service life are critical.
Built in accordance with API 609 and ASME B16.34 standards, the BFD Series utilizes a true double offset design to minimize seat wear and reduce operating torque while delivering consistent, bi-directional sealing performance.
Available in wafer, lug, and double flanged configurations, this valve supports a wide range of applications including hydrocarbon processing, chemical service, steam systems, and high-temperature environments. With pressure classes up to 300 and temperature capabilities reaching up to 800°F depending on seat selection, the BFD Series is designed to perform in conditions where standard butterfly valves fall short.
Typical Applications:
Oil and gas processing, chemical plants, power generation, steam service, seawater systems, vacuum service, and critical industrial flow control

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the C&C BFD Series Performs Where It Counts
DOUBLE OFFSET DESIGN FOR LONGER SEAT LIFE
The double offset geometry reduces friction between the disc and seat during operation. This minimizes wear, extends sealing life, and lowers operating torque compared to concentric butterfly valves.
HIGH TEMPERATURE & CRITICAL
SERVICE CAPABILITY
With metal seat options and high-temperature materials, the BFD Series performs in steam, gas, and aggressive chemical applications where standard soft-seated valves cannot operate reliably.
RELIABLE SHUTOFF IN DEMANDING CONDITIONS
Soft seat configurations provide bubble-tight shutoff, while metal seat designs deliver controlled leakage performance in high-temperature and abrasive environments. This flexibility allows the valve to be tailored to application requirements.
LOW EMISSIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
Advanced packing systems are designed to minimize fugitive emissions, supporting regulatory compliance and safer plant operation in hydrocarbon and chemical service.
