Figure 110 | Insulating Hammer Union
C&C Industries
The C&C Figure 110 Insulating Hammer Union is designed for applications where electrical isolation is required within a piping system. Commonly used in conjunction with cathodic protection systems, this union prevents the transfer of electrical current between connected sections of pipe, helping to mitigate corrosion.
The design incorporates dual insulating rings along with a sealing ring that also functions as part of the electrical isolation system. A double BUNA-N O-ring sealing arrangement ensures reliable pressure containment while maintaining electrical separation.
Available in 2” size with pressure ratings up to 4,000 PSI, the Figure 110 provides a critical function in protecting pipeline integrity in corrosive environments.
Typical Applications:
Cathodic protection systems, pipeline isolation points, corrosion control systems, oil & gas production lines, and process piping requiring electrical isolation

PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES
Why the FIG 110 Performs Where It Counts
PREVENTS GALVANIC & STRAY
CURRENT CORROSION
By electrically isolating sections of piping, the union prevents current flow that accelerates corrosion. This is critical in systems using cathodic protection, where improper grounding can cause localized failure.
MAINTAINS SEALING WHILE PROVIDING ELECTRICAL ISOLATION
The dual-function design ensures that electrical isolation does not compromise pressure sealing. The integrated insulating and sealing components work together to maintain system integrity.
PROTECTS PIPELINE LIFE & REDUCES REPLACEMENT COSTS
Electrical corrosion is often hidden until failure occurs. By preventing this mechanism, the union extends pipeline life and reduces long-term maintenance and replacement costs.
RELIABLE PERFORMANCE IN CHEMICAL
& FIELD ENVIRONMENTS
Materials are selected to resist common oilfield fluids and chemicals, ensuring consistent performance even in aggressive service conditions.
